Written in 1997 at a time when amateurism disappeared from Rugby Union for ever, Malin's book now gives a perspective - from over 10 years hence - of the huge changes that the game has seen since that time. The book has 176 pages, including colour photographs - which in themselves are an indication of how things went wrong for some clubs, as Richmond are featured - only to shortly disappear when the money ran our, and it's only very recently that they have got themselves back into the National Leagues again. Also interesting is a photograph of Mike Catt playing for England -and where is he now? - still playing Premiership rugby twelve years later!
Now even more poignant with the recent 'Bloodgate' revelations at Harlequins - who might have thought that professional rugby would have ended up like this!
